The Tree Of Life has widely spread branches and roots stretching downward to represent the connection between the heavens and the Earth. The concept of a Tree of Life is found in most all religions, tracing back to before recorded history.
The pentagram is a symbol of a star encased in a circle. Always with 5 points (one pointing upward), each has its own meaning. The upward point of the star is representative of the spirit.
