1 x UDN2981AT Octal High Side Source Driver 0.5A 50V PIC Arduino Basic Stamp
You are looking at a ONE x UDN2981AT Octal High Side Source Driver IC's by Allegro Microsystems,

These are Octal(8 Way) Source Drivers or HIGH SIDE Driver Arrays, with this device the negative end of the load is connected to the GND and the IC feeds the load with a high voltage seperate from the logic supply allowing you to drive loads up to 50 Vots at ½ Amp from a 5V logic device like a PIC microcontroller, Arduino etc

You can also get LOW SIDE Drivers like the ULN2803A we also have listed, with these one end of the load is connected to the + Supply rail and the other end of the load is connected to ULN2803A device output pin, when the input is triggered the device grounds the negative end of the load making the circuit,

These UDN2981AT devices are rated to run a load from a power supply of up to 50 Volts and they can source up to 0.5A per channel these devices are great for a number of power driving applications such as high power LED's, Relays, Electromechanical Valves, Small Stepper Motors etc and allow you to drive them from a 5V TTL input from a TTL circuit or microcontroller like a Basic Stamp, PIC or Arduino for example,

Driving Inductive loads like motors and relays is made simpler because these devices include integral suppression diodes for each channel so Back EMF from turning off an inductive load does not damage the devices,

These come in an 18-Pin PDIP package
