The auction is for a Pioneer 26ft skydiving reserve canopy
made by Pioneer Parachute Company (now Pioneer Aerospace)
- Canopy is currently on four links
- date of manufacture 02/1973 , Serial # 561854
- material is in very good shape - the only blemish I could find were a tiny (3mm) rip at the apex, and a small patch (at the apex as well)
- Part No 2412-1 made from 1.1oz ripstop nylon
In case this is not obvious, this will NOT make a good reserve canopy for every
day jumps. this is a 40+ year old piece of technology which is obsolete.
However, this should be good for a prop, a good canopy for rigging practice, or
to scare your local jumpers/riggers :)
