THE SIZE YOU SELECT IS NOT YOUR NECK SIZE.. PLEASE READ.
This
is a Custom, made-to-order piece so sizing is extremely important. You
will be responsible for selecting the size of your collar when you place
the order. The size you select from the drop-down menu will be the
TOTAL LENGTH of the completed collar which includes 1/2 inch for the
lock. For example, if you select 16 1/2 inches, the length of the collar
will be 16" PLUS the lock, which ADDS 1/2" to the length. 16" plus 1/2"
equals 16 1/2". If you're not sure what size you need or are confused
in any way, please contact us. We are here to help you and we want to
make 100% sure your collar will fit you as perfectly as possible.
NEED HELP SIZING? WE'RE HERE TO HELP: If you're having trouble figuring out the size you need here are a few ways to figure it out:
METHOD 1: (FIT LIKE IN THE PICTURES) With
this method you need to get your neck's actual measurement. You can do
this by using a tailor's tape measure. If you don't have one you can use
a string, shoelace, necklace or anything else that you can wrap around
your neck to measure it. If you don't have a tailor's tape measure just
wrap what ever you've selected (string, shoelace, etc) snugly around
your neck at the base where your neck meets your shoulders. (See
pictures for an example of this) Don't hold it too tight and not too
loose, just snugly. Hold the place with your fingers and then measure it
on a ruler or yard stick or tape measure. THIS is your ACTUAL neck
measurement.
Now add 1/2" to that number. If you want it tighter
or looser add or remove to that number. My actual neck measurement is 13
1/2" and I wear a 14 " cuff. 13 1/2" plus 1/2" equals 14". So 14 inches
is my "total length" for my collar. That means the collar is 13 1/2"
and with the lock which equals 14 inches total length. Confused? Convo
us! We're here to help!
METHOD 2: (EASY WAY) This method is
the easiest since you don't have to worry about doing any math. Just
take a string or shoelace or old necklace, anything you can put around
your neck. hold it together at the place you want the collar to fall on
your neckline. Then just measure it on a ruler or yard stick or tape
measure. This is the total length of your collar. So if you get 16" we
will make the collar 15 1/2" plus the lock (1/2") which will total 16".

A
day collar, by definition, is a collar that looks more like jewelry
than a traditional leather "house collar." It's primary function is to
be worn during certain occasions or events that are considered outside
of the lifestyle or "vanilla" where a more traditional leather house
collar would not be appropriate.
There are many different kinds
of relationships in the lifestyle and sometimes a less obvious collar
needs to be worn during situations that are vanilla, or more "normal"
like work or school or an office party where most people wouldn't
understand the relationship. A Day Collar is more of a symbolic collar
that maintains the vows of the relationship during these "vanilla"
situations.
A day collar is not generally intended to be worn on a
24/7 daily basis. Initially a Day collar was meant to be removed after
the vanilla situation and the leather House collar be locked back on.
With that being said, many people in the lifestyle are breaking from the
more traditional leather "House Collar" and using a Day Collar on a
24/7 Basis. We are one of those people and victoria wears a Solid
