Offered here is an exquisite polished sample of the element Magnesium in a unique and rare cube shape at full theoretical density.  The dimension of the cube is 1.5" x 1.5" x 1.5".   The weight is at least 94 grams and is 99.9 % pure.  After working on this concept for many years, we are able to offer you this rare and beautiful element in this unique shape.

Magnesium is highly reactive to the atmosphere and will oxidize quickly "rusting" unless coated with a durable and protective barrier to oxygen and moisture.  As a result, I've coated these cubes with a proprietary formulation to help protect against this.  After much experimentation and long term exposure to the outside environment (some testing lasting more than 7 years!), I have found the perfect coating that offers the best protection against the damaging effects of oxygen, water and the corrosive effects of human skin oils.  Beware of companies offering "lacquer" coated cubes as some of these lacquers can actually cause more damage by trapping moisture under the layer.  Demand the best ! buy from an experienced seller that's been offering element cubes for over 10 years !    

Note:   This cube is not laser marked - however, we can easily laser mark this with our unique periodic table information (like the 1" Mg cube) or we can mark this with other custom designs - please contact us for further information.  Also, let us know if you want this un-coated or laser marked.   (laser marking with the coating may delay shipment by a 3-5 days)
