DVK soviet computer graphic extension conteroller board. The color graphic display controller (KCGD) (MS 2725) is an extension card with its processor (KR1801VM2) and 128 KB RAM (16 K565RU5 chips). The controller provides resolutions:

progressive scan (60 Hz):

800 × 240, 2 bits (4 colors),

400 × 240, 4 bits (16 colors from a palette of 64 colors),

Interlace (30 Hz):

800 × 480, 2 bits (4 colors).

400 × 480, 4 bits (16 colors from a palette of 64 colors).

KCGD is technically a full-fledged computer and has the ability to download and execute programs in memory. However, due to the purely software rendering of characters on the screen and due to the video controller's cycles of operation, interspersed with processor accesses to memory, it has a significantly lower speed than the old KSM. The RX program specially written from scratch (by Alexander Belits) overtook the original ROM version by 2–3 times in speed. Supported exchange protocols are VT-100 and VT-52.
