Fits Ford Escort Mk5 (RS2000) 2.0 DOHC MTX75 gearbox (93 on) Vibra Technics Full Road Kit

Further down the listing is a diagram to show the fitment location for the contents of the kit on the car to assist you.

The following product is suitable for the: Ford Escort Mk5 (RS2000) 2.0 DOHC MTX75 gearbox

This Kit is for Road use, please check our listings for a Race mount kit.

The position of all mountings is described as it would be from the drivers seat. For example, Left Hand mounts are on the Gearbox / passenger side of a Right Hand Drive car.

The Kit contains the following items:
- RH Engine Mount FOR155M. (Quantity 1) OEM Part Number(s): 6953547, 7204687, 7204687, 95AB6038CA, 93AB6038CA. This RHS engine mount is designed as a direct replacement for the standard Ford part on Escort Mk V & VI. It reduces engine movement in all directions but in "fast road" compound still isolates a significant amount of noise and vibration.
Fits: Escort MK5/6, 1.4 ('94-),1.6 Zetec-E 16V ('93-) 2,0 DOHC (93 -).

- Torque Link Bush FOR165M. (Quantity 1) OEM Part Number(s): 91AB6P090AC. This insert replaces the OEM part in the torque restrictor assembly. It fits in the cast housing on the chassis side of the link. Fitting this mount bush significantly reduces engine movement under load.

- Rear Transmission Mount FOR153M. (Quantity 1) OEM Part Number(s): 92AB6P071AC. Overrun and accelaration forces are largely reacted on this mount in the Escort. For "normal" driving the standard mount gives a good compromise between controlling engine movement and isolating noise and vibration. With a tuned engine and/or "hard" driving the engine movement will lead to difficult gearchanges, jerky take off and at each gearchange, increased fatigue of exhaust system and other ancilliaries. In worse cases the engine unit will hit strut braces or other equipment in the engine bay. By using the Vibra-Technics FOR153M insert in the standard housing you will generally eliminate all these problems and give the car a 'tighter' feel.
this mount only fits MT75 gearbox found on the RS2000 and other variants.

- Front Transmission Mount FOR160M. (Quantity 1) OEM Part Number(s): 6845223. This LHS mounting carries approximately half the weight of the powertrain and has to react forces in the three orthogonal planes as well as rotational. The standard mount does an acceptable job between controlling engine movement and isolating the cabin from noise and vibration under 'normal' driving conditions. However when subjected to a tuned engine and/or high performance driving conditions more control of engine movement is required. The fitting of FOR160M will substantially reduce vertical and lateral engine movement and the rubber section will still give a degree of isolation from noise and vibration. We recommend that this mount is used in conjunction with the RHS mounting FOR155M and rear mount FOR153M or FOR165M.

To be sure of the correct fitment, please use the further specification data above to assist you. If you are still uncertain please do not hesitate to contact us with either your UK Car Registration or Chassis Number and we will gladly help you identify the correct parts needed prior to ordering.

The location of some, if not all the Mounts in this kit may be found in the diagram(s) below.

Vibra-Technics Mounts are a completely re-engineered Solution

They are not hard versions of standard parts but a completely re-engineered solution, giving improved durability and handling for both road cars and competition cars requiring rubber bushed suspension.

Vibratechnics Uprated Engine Mounts

Vibra-Technics products are designed specifically for high performance applications where a direct replacement for the standard mount is required along with a much higher level of engine control to cope with higher engine outputs and higher road inputs caused by fast driving. The Fast Road mounts give significant improvements in ride and handling without adversely affecting vibration isolation. The competition mounts can also eliminate clearance problems with strut braces, exhaust systems, body panels etc. They improve handling whilst still giving vibration isolation at high engine speeds.
Competition mounts are not recommended for road use.

Vibra-Technics Uprated Suspension Bushes

Vibra-Technics have developed a small range of suspension bushes which are designed to significantly reduce the suspension geometry changes resulting from acceleration, braking and cornering forces. This gives improvements in the car stability and cornering "feel" without limiting normal suspension travel.
