The humble swivel completes the whole rig set up and since it is almost the last connection between you and the carp it needs to be reliable. We always bought swivels from the same source, until our suppliers’ supplier merged with a new company. The stocks were mixed and some were not as good quality so we immediately set about sourcing an alternative.
They say that from every adversity comes an equal or greater benefit and in this case the swivels we located came from Japan - arguably the best swivel manufacturers in the world. They matched the size of the originals exactly, improved the breaking strain and reliability, and made them in a lovely dull grey tint.
This was an improvement that entailed only a marginal increase in price - 10 per cent over 10 years! The swivels have round eyes because they are stronger than diamond eyes, if this were not the case then hooks would be made with diamond eyes! They fit just about everything that we make including - the Inline Leads, Lead Clips, Running Rigs, Shok Beads and Rubbers, what more can we say!

From bait attachment, to combi-rig construction, the Micro Rig Swivel has a host of rig applications. It's perhaps most widely used sliding on the shank of a hook, forming the blow-back element of many rigs. Crucially, it has the same non-reflective coating that our other rig components are blessed with, eliminating any glint that might otherwise spook feeding fish.

This little family of products will find favour with a host of anglers. They allow the hook link to be changed in an instant, which is a huge help when time is of the essence!
They’re available in and in two sizes, size-11 and size-8, and in standard and ring-swivel variants, which allows you to use them with lead clips, or on helicopter systems.
You asked us for these, so we added them to the range. These swivels have one very large round eye and one normal size one and, as with all our swivels, they come from the best Japanese manufacturers and have our trademark 'anti glint' dull-grey finish.
They have three major uses...
Firstly, they make very smooth running rigs when used as a replacement to the swivels found on the top of our leads. They were originally designed as part of the running rig kits. But, after too many enquiries to mention, we had to add them to the range.
The second obvious use is for helicopter rigs. The large eye will rotate better if a large bead is used, whereas a smaller swivel would bump around the larger beads circumference. In other words, the large eye will slide effortlessly around it.
They can also be used at the top of a link for the marker float - the large eye will allow the line to pull through that bit easier than a standard swivel. No doubt you will find other uses we haven't even thought of yet.

A smaller version of our size-eight Ring Swivel, which is perfect for making hinged stiff rigs. I can also be used on helicopter rigs to great effect. Like all of our metalware, they're finished in a low-vis, anti-glint coating.

These swivels have now become ubiquitous in carp fishing. There can't be a tackle box in the UK that doesn't hold a few! They have a multitude of uses, notably when pulled into our standard lead clip. The steel ring helps to eliminate tangles when casting and provides the rig with a hinge for extra movement.
