A vintage mid century Murano sommerso art glass sculpture of a stylised duck by Fratelli Toso, the base with the partial blue / silver foil label, and dating to around the 1950's / 60's.

The sculpture depicts an upright duck or goose, and consists of lobes of ruby red glass submerged in a clear light blue glass, the space between the red glass lobes giving a striped effect, and all encased within clear glass with applied clear glass beak & feet - please see photos and click to enlarge.

The base retains it's original (but partial) Fratelli Toso blue & silver foil 'Murano Glass / Made in Italy' label.

Size : Approx 10 1/4" / 26cm tall, rather heavy at just under 1.3 Kg unpacked.

Condition : Good vintage condition with no damage or restoration, expected light wear / scratches to the ground & polished base commensurate with age, label worn, typical polished tool mark to the front of the head - please see photos & click to enlarge.
