Price increase of 10% on wholesale cost due to tariffs on Chinese imports, sorry :( At some point these had to be passed on to the US. distributor CAS Iberia, then Sellers, finally to you the Buyers, but we've all tried to phase them in over time. The good news is that this blade will probably last a lifetime!
From Hanwei Forge, approved for sparring and HEMA competition. The high-carbon flex-tempered steel blades closely follow the proportions of the period and are button tipped for safety. These tapered blades provide a superior balance compared to the traditional parallel-sided schlagers, making for a lighter, faster sword.

This listing is for OH1061 - 37" Schlager-style blade (replacement for the SH1098 Practical Rapier) and I have a separate listing for OH1060 the 43” version. Many re-enactors and hobbyists craft their own guard and hilt. In 2nd photo you can see how flexible the blade is, though that one is the longer 43" version.
