Beautiful .925 sterling silver rainbow moonstone and amethyst gemstone High Priestess necklace.

This beautiful necklace has a rainbow moonstone oval gemstone set in sterling silver with an amethyst teardrop gemstone. The moonstone oval is 20 x 15 mm and the whole pendant measures 45 x 25 mm. It is stamped .925 on the back and weighs 13 grams with a sterling 18 inch snake chain.

Moonstone is a variety of the feldspar-group mineral orthoclase. During formation, orthoclase and albite separate into alternating layers. When light falls between these thin layers it is scattered producing the phenomenon called adularescence. Adularescence is the light that appears to billow across a gem.

Amethyst is a "stone of change, protection & enlightenment". It enhances spiritual awareness, meditation, visualization, serenity & composure. It is also the crystal birthstone for February.
