VIETNAM HANSON RIG EXTRACTION HARNESS

These are made in very limited quantities
Our reproduction Hanson Rigs are crafted from original 1963 dated A7As in our shop the same way that they were made in the rigger sheds during the Vietnam War. Just like our STABOs these are sewed on vintage American made equipment with heavy parachute thread. These are the same dimensions as originals, a little over 14 feet long.

This item is sold as a novelty item, it has not been certified as a life saving device
BONUS!
This Hanson Rig comes with a U.S. military carabiner and secured with old school inner-tube.
HISTORY
Developed by FOB-2 One-Zero Bill Hanson. This method of extraction preceded the STABO Harness. The Hanson Rig replaced the McGuire Rig as a safer, more reliable method of Helo extraction. These were typically folded over then taped and secured to the equipment belt or suspenders with a carabiner until extraction was imminent. It was worn for the full duration of the combat operation, in which to allow for rapid extraction by the rope ("strings") method, if a conventional helicopter LZ could not be quickly established (which was frequently experienced in South East Asia, as reconnaissance teams were operating deep in heavily forested enemy territory).
