Comments: Highly recommended. Historically accurate and great head protection for all forms of HEMA sparring. I originally ordered one of these to wear under my helmet for Ren, tired of wearing a hoodie and wanted more protection to the back of my head for hard hits with rapier, Shinai and Rawlings synthetic. This looks so much better on the field. Very adjustable, I think this size will fit all but the very smallest (down to the average 16 year old I’m thinking) and very largest among us. I tried to get some photos to give you an idea the construction and thickness of these arming caps - you can see the manufacturer's photo does nothing to show you what they're like. Sorry I had to include my ugly mug, but at least you know what you're getting! See how thick the padding is as it comes up over the head, almost like a crest. When you put your helmet over it the cap compresses, conforming to the shape of your head as well as providing excellent protection. This should fit most adult sizes, up to large and even extra large.
