Offered is a vintage empty Platte Valley Straight Corn Whiskey half gallon stoneware style jug.  The jug is a tan and brown single handle classic whiskey jug with cork.  The graphics on the jug reads, “Aged in the Hills, Platte Valley Since 1856, 6 years old, 86 proof, ½ gallon, 6 years old, Straight Corn Whiskey distilled and bottled by McCormick Distilling Company, Weston, Missouri, T.M. Reg U.S. Pat Off.”  The bottom is scripted in blue glaze, “219-1976, Liquor Bottle 11-D16”.  The Jug measures approximately 9” tall by 5 3/8” diameter across the base and about 1” jug opening.

The Platte Valley jug is in very good to excellent vintage condition with no evident chips or cracks or crazing.  The graphics is in very good to excellent condition. The corked opening is covered by tape and the cork material is highly deteriorated.  The pictures are the jug bottle offered.

This would be a nice piece for Whiskey Memorabilia collectors or as just used as a decorative vase in a bar display or a lounge space.  Need to move on this before it is gone!  Buy it Now!
