ANTIQUE RARE MAP OF ANCIENT GREECE GRAECIA ANTIQUA ANTONIO ZATTA 1785

Offered is an original superb and rare antique map of Ancient Greece by Antonio Zatta. 1785. Title is: “Graecia 

Antiqua". A hand colored outlined copper engraved, double page map of Ancient Greece, filled with engraved 

place names and inset with a map of the northern portion, reaching further into Macedonia, Thrace, and 

Dardania. Publication: “'Atlante Novissimo”. 

Paper size is 52 cm X 38.5 cm (20.5 in. X 15.2 in.), image size is 40.5 cm 31 X cm (15.9 in. X 12.2 in.). 

The map is in very good condition with some browning. A small burn hole at the top margin not affecting the 

image (pictured). It is taped in the middle and the left margin of the back for reinforcement (pictured). Shadow 

at top right is only in the picture. The map was previously folded in two. It will be shipped rolled safely in a tube.
