"Floral emblems have been often adopted. The houses of York and Lancaster had their roses, the Bourbons of France, the fleur-de-lis, Scotland her thistle, and Ireland her shamrock."

--Dorothea Dix

This is a fleur-de-lis (in French "flower of lilly") lapel pin that is a fairly large size for a lapel pin. The fleur-de-lis pendant is 1.5" tall and 1.0" wide, so it shows up prominently on the lapel. The fleur-de-lis portion is a brooch and attached is a double chain that is 7" long.  The chain can be looped in any direction that you want to wear it on the lapel and fastened by a metal clutch, enclosed.  Each piece is individually packaged and brand new.

Why we like this piece:  Very much like the size.  It is not small or delicate.  At 1.5" tall, the fleur de lis shows up boldly on the lapel. The rhinestones give it flash and an elegant quality. The double chain gives it an extra elegance. This piece is very affordable, yet looks more expensive than it is.
