LSI-11 Designed by Gordon Bell & team and implemented the worlds first large microprocessor in three chips and placed on-board three yacht entries for America's Cup!
Received at the Maynard "Old Mill" facility in 1977, from the Semiconductor Group.

The LSI-11 was Digital's adaptation of the PDP-11 implemented in a three chip solution. Later major accomplishments of Digital innovation included the Alpha computer, one of the fastest department solvers ever built.Richard Best & Kenneth Olsen designed the PDP-1 and Gordon soon joined the team delivering a buss oriented approach to system design. From the PDP-6 and on, Bell lead an amazing team of innovators to create the well known line up of DEC computer products.
This poster was from the Americas' Cup RACE with an EDGE, touting the inclusion of LSI-11 based micro computers on-board three American Entries. It is from 1976 & 1977. In excellent, high gloss condition, has small pin holes very close to the edge of the four corners, which matting will cover perfectly.
