Ni-MH Battery. The length L = 41.7 mm and diameter D = 8.3 mm corresponds to the dimensions of standard alkaline "AAAA"battery (L = from 41.5 mm to

42.5 mm, D = from 7.7 mm to 8.3mm). 

This battery is so-called button top battery: its positive (as well a negative) electrode is sticking out of battery's body, exactly as a standard  alkaline "AAAA" has. So far there is no button top,"AAAA size", rechargeable  Battery on the market. Thus, our battery is the best choice for substitution of non rechargeable alkaline AAAA battery.

If you intend to use the battery for Stylus pen application, then I need to make additional modification of the battery in order that battery will fit Stylus pen battery compartment (simply to remove battery's plastic cover). Let me know about it with your order. In all other cases this particular modification of the battery is not required.

You can charge the battery using our Universal Charger. Our Universal Charger accepts all sizes of cylindrical type batteries, including AAAA size.

When connecting batteries in series, means that equipment requires two or more batteries, flat top batteries are usually a problem: Flattops do not provide a connection among batteries which are supposed to be connected.

Flat-Top type batteries are intended for pack assembly only, and they do not work in consumer applications where  button top type batteries are required.

Flat-Top type batteries are used in building and re-building battery packs for cord less power tools, telephones... 

However it is strongly recommended not to solder or weld wires or metal tabs (which are necessary when you making packs) to the electrodes of Mi-MH type batteries because high temperature kills the battery! It is not for do-it-yourself procedure, it requires special professional equipment. 

 It all shows that Flat Top type batteries are useless in every day life, and alkaline "AAAA" button top battery could not be substituted by flat top battery.

Thus, our button top, "AAAA" size, 1.2V/300mAh,rechargeable, Ni-MH Battery is the best choice.

Another major advantage of our battery is that it has very low self-discharge current.

 Battery self-discharge is a phenomenon in batteries in which internal chemical reactions reduce the stored charge of the battery. Battery self-discharge decreases the overall shelf-life of batteries and causes them to initially have less than a full charge when actually put to use.

All batteries will self discharge over a period of time naturally whether the battery is used or not. This means that the battery capacity will go from 100% down to 0% over a time period regardless if the battery is being used or not. Recharging the battery corrects this naturally occurring reality.
