The Tanto Limited Edition pays homage to the Japanese samurai, who served men of royalty and nobility in historical Japanese culture. A tanto is a traditional Japanese short sword, used mainly as protection for self-defense and close-quarters combat.
The Wajima region is renowned worldwide for its expertise and contribution to Maki-e art, dating back to the 14th Century. To finish our Tanto Wajima Urushi, we commissioned the top artisans from the Wajima area. The design is an artistic balance between crimson and black which invokes peace and tranquility, representative of the culture and geography of Wajima.
The Tanto Wajima features an ultra-unique metal neck sleeve that can be easily screwed onto each barrel grip section, designed as an add-on part for the optional use and desired comfort level of each writer.
This pen is #09/25 in the edition. The pen is still factory sealed and with a Medium 14k nib.
