Star Wars - Millennium Falcon
This light kit has been designed and built primarily for use with the Revell Easy Kit Falcon model, which is the most popular. It may fit other model types - please check the dimensions of your model for suitability.
The set (along with the majority of our light kits) is completely pre-wired and ready to install. No electronic work required, just drill fitting holes as required in your model.
A set for larger base models (eg Hasbro) is also available. If you can't see it in the store, send me a message to check on availability.
This is a great quality light kit, featuring x28 Ultra Bright 3mm leds, x1 colour changing fibre optic led and a 20cm ( x12 smd led) neon blue strip.
The fibre optic led changes between red, green and blue at alternating fast and slow flash rates, and uses 1mm diameter fibre optic cables.
The set is run by two 9v batteries (not included), and has two slide switch units fitted next to the battery clips.

I've put this lighting configuration together, as it seems to compliment the model well, and is a popular choice by many model builders.
You can see in the main photo where I have placed each led in the underside section of the model, which you can use as guidance if you wish, but it is totally up to the discretion of the model builder. Inexperienced builders - please be aware this light kit is an "add-on" and that the original model parts will need to be marked out and drilled with a 2.5mm drill in order to install this light kit.
Cockpit Detail:
x1 Colour changing red/green/blue 1mm fibre optic led, each fibre 100mm long from light source.
x1 3mm Warm White led.
Underside Detail:
x13 3mm Warm White leds
x8 3mm Red leds.
x3 3mm Cool White leds.
Ramp
x1 3mm Warm White led.

x2 3mm Cool White leds.
Booster
x1 x12 SMD Led Strip - Neon Blue - 20cm Long.
The led strip works very well with the blue plastic booster strip part supplied as standard with the Revell Easy Kit. Fitting the self adhesive led strip just inside this part on the grey curved section, and using the standard blue plastic booster part eliminates the hassle of having to use other methods to diffuse the light, eg plastic corrugate.
It is also a lot more effective than the common six led solution, as it provides more even light across the whole area.
The light kit is fitted with screw terminal blocks, making it easier to take apart and install the switch and battery wires. There are two of these, each 500mm long, running to a 9v battery clip.
An spdt slide switch is fitted to each on a 200mm wire, next to the battery clip, which can easily be fitted in the models display stand.
Each led has 180mm wire, that runs to one of four terminal connectors, which in turn is connected to the main stem wire by a further 100mm length of wire each. Please see the photos for better understanding.
We use 1mm fibre optic, which sadly isn't cheap but gives the best lighting performance for its purpose by far.
The fibre optics can carefully be cut to size to fit the model. Wire lengths can also be altered by the model builder if necessary.
Requires x2 9volt battery (not included).

The first photo in the gallery shows the kit installed in the Revell 1/72 model. If you have a look in the gallery
on our site (just google us) you can see the kit installed to great effect in an AMT/ERTL model.
Unfortunately the photo dimensions are a fraction too small to be accepted on ebay.
Superb value kit considering the time each set takes to make.
