This set of round files is a perfect solution for filing string slots into guitar nuts and bridges. The file assembly conveniently fits in the palm of your hand allowing for total control as you file. This is an important factor in preventing scratches to surrounding surfaces of your guitar.

If you look close up at the files you will see that the cutting surface is a series of concentric "grooves" around the file that provide the cut.

The circular files fold out from the aluminium casing and include all the following sizes so even if you have a guitar with hefty strings tuned down to Low C this file will cut the string groove for it.

It should be noted that these files are primarily designed for other uses but are ideal for guitar nuts, etc.

Also these files, especially the smaller ones, are thin metal and bend easily. As such, some care is recommended when using them, so that they will last you a good while. These are recommended for wood and bone, and soft metals such as brass, copper or aluminum. Not recommended for hard or ferrous metals.
