Hello! It’s
my VU meter.
Analog VU
meter with enclosure.
VU meters
used are original NISSEI TN-73, size 76x59x41mm.
VU meter has
only one RCA stereo audio line in without any interference to audio signal.

Suits
outputs as Minidisc / Tape 1/ Tape 2 / Recording / Monitoring
Signal
source from Preamplifier vs. Power Amplifier:
The basic
difference is this: a preamp boosts a weaker signal to line level, while an
amplifier boosts a line level signal so that it can be sent to speakers. The
"variable line out" is the out on a preamp - turning the volume knob changes the signal strength for the VU meter.

0VU indicates
0dbu and set to 0.7745V RMS, it’s adjustable on the board inside with
potentiometers.
0VU can also
be set for a studio level +4dbu 1,228V RMS - write me please if you need.
Adjustable VU
meter light, there is a potentiometer on the back panel.
Outside
dimensions of the enclosure 245x175x90 mm.
Color is
black and material is plastic. Front and back panels are black gloss cast
acrylic CNC machined.
Power supply
inside 105-265VAC. EU plug only power cable will be inside.
You will
need a plug adapter for US/Canada/Australia.
How to use
the VU meter
Plug the
power supply cable and turn the power switch ON (back panel).
Adjust desirable
VU meter light with a potentiometer (back panel).
Connect the
audio RCA cable to your amplifiers audio line output as described above.
Play your
music and enjoy listening and viewing the VU meter!
Switch the
VU meter OFF when you do not use it.
