This is a listing for a pair of centre box replacement pipes. These are NEW and made from top quality 304 stainless steel. These can be fitted to the XJS V12 range 5.3 and 6.0. These are similar to Lister pipes. 

These give the engine a lot more breathing space as the centre box is commonly known to sap the flow in the exhaust. It was originally designed for the american market. These are not compatible with cars that have catalytic converters. 

These do add a tone to the car, giving it the real Jaguar purr.

"They sound just a little louder at idle, but I passed the MOT easily (I live in Japan and MOT is really strict), so they are fairly quiet. But when the engine revs up over 3000rpm it roars! It is really fun to drive in tunnels. It does sounds like V12. The genuine dull setting of post facelift models (mine is '92 5.3) changed considerably, the engine revs up really smoothly now. I am totally satisfied with these pipes' - Dec 2013. (There was slight modification to fit to the later catalytic converter car)

"I'm really happy with the pipes, they went on with no messing around required, and give the car a throatier, more purposeful sound. The stock exhaust does an excellent job of hushing the V12 to provide a silky whisper as you waft about, but if you want to give the car more of a growl these pipes are great, as they deepen the exhaust note at idle but remain unobtrusive until you drop the hammer, when they burst into song as you climb up the rev range.
