Near the end of WWII, Hans Wilsdorf, the visionary creator of the Rolex and Tudor watch brands, was so moved by the heroic efforts of the British RAF pilots that he decided to honor them by introducing a special "Air" series of watches that included the Rolex Air Lion, Rolex Air Tiger, Rolex Air Giant and of course the venerable Rolex Air King. The Air King watch debuted in 1945 and has been celebrated for over 70 years, being worn by the likes of Arizona Senator John McCain, Actress Jennifer Aniston and world-class tennis player Jim Courier, just to name a few!

The model 14010 Rolex Air King watch offered here is housed in elegant solid stainless steel case with engine turned bezel, and is fitted to a brushed finished stainless steel Oyster bracelet that will fit any wrist size up to 8 1/4in (209.55mm). The nearly indestructible sapphire crystal protects the white enamel finished Roman numeral dial that serves as a background to the beveled and polished baton style hour and minute hands and traditional polished seconds hand. The Swiss made 27 jewel mechanism is finely crafted and has been serviced by our certified watchmaker to insure a long life of proper functioning and accurate timekeeping. Included with this watch are its original outer and inner boxes including the outer white protective sleeve; original guarantee papers, booklet, hang tags and booklet sleeve; and the original chamois patch.
