And because I love you, you can hear this cymbal before you buy it!!!

THIS ONE IS A GEM!!! A THINNER 1950s RIDE!!!  This 20" can do A LOT!! Straight up ride, Ringo style Crash Ride, it has a solid bell for a Vintage 20", AND it's 1984 grams and 60 years old!!!

$450!! That is how much a new Zildjian K Constantinople will set you back. And that's the Guaranteed Lowest Price too. And of course if you're on a shoestring budget, you can get a new boring K 20" Ride for $350.

How about one of those new-fangled modern "vintage vibe" AVEDIS or Kerope Zildjians....for TWICE AS MUCH MONEY???

NONE will sound like this more than half-century old Zildjian. Very MELLOW, semi-dark and insanely SMOOTH!!

Posted for your immense pleasure is this lovely and pretty THIN, Vintage 1950s Zildjian 20" Ride Cymbal that is in EXCELLENT Condition. Check out the pictures! Remarkably there are

NO

nicks, cracks, dents, dings on this 6 decade old 20". It's in GREAT SHAPE with a chocolate brown patina that has befriended it and a bit of centerhole wear - it sounds SO GOOD that someone played the hell out of it!!!!  And it ain't easy to find a 60+ year old Zildjian without cracks. Most of them succumbed to the swings of 2Bs in the 80s. Somehow this one prevailed.

CHECK OUT THAT OLD SCHOOL LATHING!  THAT'S THE READ DEAL!

Below is a soundfile of the exact cymbal for sale:

Listen to the soundfile here!

Weighing in at a mouth watering 1984 grams, this 20" plays like the PERFECT Thin Ride----it sounds like a Blue Note recording. The tone is Classic 50s Zildjian A, fairly complex, semi-dark, very smooth, mellow and warm. Like most Vintage As from this era, it does have a great, brightness that floats above the top and gives it that famous Zildjian stick attack. Overall it has a light, airy tone. It has a distinctive Light Ride quality to it...although it can certainly be a main ride for jazz and trio work etc.

And it is DEFINITELY CRASHABLE--PERFECT FOR A BEATLES CRASH RIDE VIBE WITH THAT WALL-OF-WHITE-NOISE!

Semi-dark, light, bright shimmer that floats on top, medium to medium low in pitch, played-in, super smooth and mellow, & crashable.

THAT IS THIS CYMBAL!!

The bell measures a 5" and is remarkably SOLID. Definitely strong enough for "the latin thing", and even blues and funk.

And this 20" would be a great candidate for rivets if you're so inclined.

Obviously this Vintage Zildjian 50s 20" Ride is a no brainer for jazz, ballads, blues, trio work, and soul. However the fun does not stop there. You can use this big 20" Ride for funk, fusion, folk, indie rock, and mellow pop and rock. It makes a great foil for a dark or dry ride.

$449.99??

$400 for a Zildjian just trying to imitate THIS ZILDJIAN???

More money for a rigid shot in the dark????

If you want a vintage sound, then go to the source.

THIS 1950s ZILDJIAN IS THE SOURCE!! 1984 grams. This is a no-brainer.
