These HP Elitebook laptops are a step above the retail/consumer grade
fare. They are designed and built with business in mind. They are
designed to travel and arrive ready to get work done. The styling is
elegant rather than shiny and flashy. They cost a bit more than the
shiny stuff on the retail floor, but that is due to the superior grade
of both their components and engineering. Service on an Elitebook is far
less complicated than on retail machines. The designers kept in mind
that an IT department will likely purchase these by the fleet and need
to be able to repair/replace/service them in a minimum of time without
having to scrounge around for exotic components common in the more
trendy and disposable models. They are far and away some of the finest
laptops ever built. The Latitude laptops are popular because they do
their job well.
