Original antique kilim from North West Persia/Azerbaijan. Design composed of horizontals bands guarded by a reciprocal outer border. Large gul's (flowers) alternated with "bracket diamond" design in a transparent composition distinctive for provenance. 

Colors: all natural pigments.

Condition: well preserved

Endings: woolen, brown/grey warps, braided finish. 

Warp: wool, Z3S, natural brown/grey. 

Weft: wool, 2Z, slit tapestry.

Some loss of material at the endings and sides (see images).

A few minor stitched spots in teh field need attention. Some loss of design (image 12 bottom right).
