The soft and fluffy Hungarian Goose down clusters are steam-cleaned and sterilised before being blown into a 100% down proof pure cotton casing. The cotton casing has a high quality 300 threads per square inch with a luxurious sateen jacquard finish. Each indivdual cassette stitched pocket is evenly filled to avoid cold spots and then finished and sealed with a double stitched and piped edge. Goose down offers unrivalled warmth without the weight of feather and down and like genuine Hungarian goose down is manufactured in Hungary (and not China like the pretenders!) All of our down is ethically sourced and meets the highest standards of animal wellfare.
The weight, softness and warmth of a duvet depends on the quality and type of filling and the tog rating. The higher the tog the warmer the duvet and the Hungarian Goose Down filling is the most luxurious and lightweight.
When selecting a natural down or feather and down product it is important to note that there is a warmth difference between goose down and duck down. The goose is a larger bird and will generally have bigger down clusters and their filaments are therefore able to trap more air and provide better insulation.
