Rose Hydrosol
Hydrosols, also known as floral waters, hydroflorates, flower waters, essential water, herbal water or distillates, have many uses for beauty, home, and more! Our organic hydrosols are produced by steam-distilling botanical material. They have similar properties to their essential oil counterparts, but are much less concentrated. Rose flower hydrosol has a rich, pleasant, floral scent that reminds you of spring-time and warm feelings. This is our most popular scent!
An important ingredient in many skin care preparations, rosewater is likely to be already featured in your toners, lotions and creams. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it soothing for dry skin. Perfect for toning face, neck, eye area, dry skin, and body for balancing skin as a botanical astringent and toner. Made from rose flowers, like the red roses you’re familiar with. A natural reducer of redness and a leader in liquid toners. Apply gently with a cotton ball onto face and neck morning and evening after cleansing to tone, balance and refresh skin.
Another way to incorporate rosewater into your beauty regimen is to use it as a hair rinse. After you shampoo and condition your hair, you thoroughly rinse and then follow up with the rosewater mix. It’s excellent for skin and leaves a very delicate scent in your hair.
Hydrosols are usually distilled once a year with the fresh harvest season. We try to contract for enough material to last between distillations, but we may run out of your favorite hydrosol before the next distillation season begins. Hydrosols should be kept in a cool, dark place. Refrigeration is recommended if you are not going to use your hydrosol quickly.
