A light, fast and reliable storm-proof stove system, based on simplicity, this legendary
outdoor cooking set is designed to feed <2 people. The Trangia® 27-2
system comes with 3 different pans, a kettle, windshields for safe and
reliable cooking and an easy-to-use alcohol fuel burner.
Tried and tested by mountaineers, sea kayakers, scouts, DofE® &
youth groups the world over for many decades, the Trangia® Storm-proof
cooker represents the benchmark for all lightweight camping stoves.
The legendary Trangia® 27 system includes a smaller stove,
comfortably suitable for <2 people but can accommodate <3 adults.
It's an excellent small family stove with 2 pans, a 600ml kettle and a
frypan. With the supports in the raised position, the stove can be used
with large billies from the rest of the Trangia® range. Supplied with
2-part windshield, 2 x saucepans, 1 x frypan, 1 x 600ml kettle, 1 x
alcohol burner, 1 x pot gripper/handle & a stowage strap
The Trangia® burner is an ingenious original product, often copied
but never bettered. The silent alcohol burner has a simple, durable and
safe design, easy to light whatever the weather. The simmer ring is used
to regulate the heat, which saves fuel, and is used to extinguish the
flame.
The stoves are extremely lightweight and hardwearing, and need no
special care. The Trangia® stove is reliable, without unnecessary parts
that can fail or be adversely affected by cold conditions. The stove is
quick to set up, and packs into a compact unit that takes up minimal
space.
All
components "nest" inside each other making this a compact, light-weight
cook set that will outlast almost anything else on the market.

The Trangia principle
The
heart of the storm-proof stove system is the two-part windshield. The
ventilation holes in the lower windshield are turned to face the wind to
increase the oxygen supply to the burner. If the wind becomes too
strong, the stove is turned to maintain the required flame. The Trangia
spirit burner runs on Ethanol or methylated spirits which are low cost,
safe and readily available. The combined frypan/lid can be put on top of
the pan to speed up heating and save fuel. The stove stands stable,
with the pan on the supports recessed into the upper windshield. The
supports are turned upwards when the frypan is used. The Trangia stove
