This is a WWII M1 Carbine Butt Stock Ammo Pouch.  It is a canvas pouch with metal hardware.  The ammo pouches are sold separately out of a large lot and will be chosen at random.  All the pouches show some signs of age, but are in overall decent condition.  The pouch measures 4 1/2" wide x 5" long.  Please see photos for further details.
