Red Fox Short Pile Synthetic Craft Fur
This is a soft and very mobile red fox coloured, medium pile
synthetic craft fur material.
It consist of a fine, soft and very dense tan
undercoat “underfur” (fibres are approximately between 0.5cm to 2 cm in length)
with longer and coarser straight black tipped reddish/orange outer hair or
“guard hair” (fibres are approximately between 2.5cm to 4.5cm in length).
The material has glistening quality that reflects light, adding to its fish attracting qualities.
This material is ideal for saltwater craft fur shrimp, yabby (pictured) and minnow patterns, It could also be used for tails or wing posts on freshwater fly patterns.
Each packet contains a 18cm x 11 cm patch of material.

I am a fly fisherman based in Victoria who ties flies when the weather isn’t any good or when work or family commitments prevent me from making it out onto the water.
