The de Grisogono brand was
started in 1993 by Fawaz Gruosi. Originally, the company designed and
produced jewelry and everyday items such as sunglasses which were then
sold in a boutique located in Geneva. Gruosi introduced the use of
black diamonds into many of his designs, which at the time was very
unusual. With the success that followed he was quickly able to open
boutiques in London, Gstaad, Rome, Paris, St. Moritz, Kuwait, Moscow and
Hong Kong - all within the first five years. It wasn't until the year
2000 that Fawaz developed his first watch collection for de Grisogono,
the Instrumento No Uno..
The featured
watch describe is a Swiss made de Grisogono Instrument Grande No 1 made
in Stainless Steel rectangle case shape measuring 40 x 47.5 mm
diameter. Fixed bezel and a pair of mobile case horns. Automatic
movement, power reserve up to ± 42hours. Displays a Silver guilloche
finishing and unique designed dial with highly legible indexes with
Superluminova hands, stick hour markers and Arabic numerals. Big double
window date display at the 6 o'clock position. Opening in the case band
at 9 o'clock, sapphire crystal, providing an unusual view of the
movement. Decorated de GRISOGONO crest crown. . Scratch resistant
Sapphire crystal, Skeleton caseback. Black leather strap with
Grisogono hidden Butterfly Deployment buckle. Water resistant to 30m /
99ft. Display signed " de Grisogono ", Caseback inscribe &
numbered, Movement signed.

Instrumento Grande No.1 by de Grisogono is a chic and resolutely
masculine timepiece featuring an extremely large date display and an
imposing rectangular case. The very first watch for de Grisogono, set
the standard for the now highly successful brand. This later piece is
truly unique and more gorgeous in person... Original in every respect,
Instrumento Grande also features an aperture on the edge of the case at
9 o’clock, where a sapphire crystal provides an unusual perspective of
the movement and the auxiliary de GRISOGONO module. The cambered,
wrist-hugging profile case is perfectly curved to fit your wrist with
real comfort. Aesthetically understated yet coolly assertive, its
generous dimensions include a large, square bezel and a pair of mobile
case horns. This piece is a polished Stainless Steel case, sapphire
crystal, caseback to view its intricate working movement. The Silver
dial with rhodium indexes and hands with superluminova is gorgeous with
its guilloche finishing and unique design makes this watch stand out.
Completing the piece is a Black Leather Strap with a Grisogono hidden
butterfly deployment buckle. I love how the simplicity of the design
