original antique color lithographed 1895 street map of the main
portion of Minneapolis, printed more than 120 years
ago.
- The map shows streetcar
lines, railroads, depots, bridges, public buildings, and other
landmarks.
- The coverage
area extends from Spring Street to East 24th Street, and there's an
inset of the entire city.
- Among the named places and features are Steele Square,
Nicollet Island, Upper Bridge,
the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad Freight House,
Loring Park, Central High School, Falls of St. Anthony, "Soo" Depot,
Exposition Grounds, Saw Mill Sites, Union Railroad Viaduct,
Mississippi River, Stone Arch Bridge, and Hennepin Island.

The map was published by Rand McNally and is dated 1895 in the lower
corner. The image area measures 31.5 x 23.5 cm [12¼" x 9¼"]. There's an
index to streets and points of interest in the margins at left and
right.

clean, with a horizontal center fold, as issued, and no
marks, rips, or tears. It is blank
