It was made for Saks 5th Avenue by The French Company under special license from Louis Vuitton, long before LV established their own manufacturing in the USA. Called the Sac Chien or dog carrier, this fabulous monogram canvas travel bag is perfect for the pampered pooch or favorite feline in your life! This is the 40cm size and measures appx 16in L x 10.5in H x 8.75in W, a great size for smaller pets! It features tan leather trim with a top handle and a peek a boo flap with air holes. It opens with a wrap around zipper at the side and features a waterproof interior. In very good condition given its age, we note some surface rubs to the leather trim and patina/scratching to the brass hardware, as you would expect from gentle prior use. Note that this piece has been heat stamped with the prior owners initials. The interior is clean.
