Officially known as the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels performed their first flight demonstration in June 1946 flying the Grumman F6F Hellcat. By the end of the 1940s, they transitioned to the jet-powered Grumman F9F-2 Panther, and since then, have flown the US Navy’s finest fighters in their trademark blue and gold paint schemes to over 463 million fans! The stars of this collection are the three (3) 14 x 11 inch, large-format color lithographs of the famed Blue Angels team with the universally recognized Blue Angels logo centered under the photographs. The lithographs are surrounded on both sides by facsimile signatures of sixteen (16) Blue Angels personnel/pilots. Please understand that these signatures are not original but are printed – but they still look great! Also offered is a Fold-Out Brochure of the Blue Angels describing the F/A-18 Hornet, Fat Albert Airlines, and the Maintenance and Support Team as well as photographs and biographical data on all the officers, enlisted personnel and civilians that support America’s finest aerial demonstration team. This brochure measures 4 x 9 inches in its folded state and 18 x 24 inches folded out. Finally, the Blue Angels Squadron Sticker is approximately 4.5 x 4.5 inches.
