Original antique color lithographed 1887 map of Somerset, printed more than 130 years ago.

  • Among the named places and features are Bath, Bristol, Exmoor Forest, Weston, Shepton Mallet, Milverton, Wells, Axbridge, Frome, Glastonbury, Brendon Hills, Wellington, Taunton, Dulverton, and more.


  • The map was issued in an American edition of the Encyclopædia Britannica, and the image area measures 21.5 cm x 29.8 cm [8½" x 11¾"]. It is identified as Plate III, Volume XXII.
