Signature. February 1, 1925. Le Grand Hotel, Venice. The signature of Nobel laureate from India Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941). Tagore wrote in Bengali and became the first non-European Nobel Prize-winning writer in 1913. He is remembered for his important contributions to Bengali literature. Tagore signed in Bengali but wrote the date in English. Attached to his signature is a cut-out image of Jacob Enstein's bust of Tagore. There is some information about the sculpture on the back of the page. In very good condition.  #7-18
