This is an opaque greasy, meaning that there is a bit of a polished look, so it's not a flat opaque color.  This bead measures 30 beads per inch and the diameter also is that of a 16/0.  I only have 13 hanks.  I recently had a similar color that was more greasy than this one, as I remember it.  Hanks range from 1.4-1.5 grams each.

If you order more than one item from me, in any color, I will refund any additional shipping over $3.33 regardless of the quantity you purchase. (domestic only; international pays actual cost).

I have a huge collection of rare antique micro seed beads and recently acquired more that I am listing in several places, including Ebay.  These beads were old store stock from Murano, Italy, and the Czech Republic, whose artisans handmade these beads in the 1800's up to the early 1900's.  This is some of the last existing handmade antique bead stock.  Additionally, many of the color pigments and finishes, like "greasy", are no longer made.

When making these beads, the artisans took the ball of hot glass and pulled it by having a second glass blower take part of the molten ball, and walk across the width of the room where they worked.  They chopped the long thin cane into beads, and depending upon how far they stretched the hot glass, the bead would get smaller in diameter.  So, I have the same color in several different sizes, in some instances!

I size them in "Beads Per Inch" measurements, based on an online conversion chart.  I am also going to show the diameter of the beads and the corresponding size, according to the old warehouse where these beads were made.  When listing the bead, I will show the size that corresponds to beads per inch, but also include the diameter size in the listing description.

Here is the size chart for diameter on my beads:

Size         inches          millimeters            beads per inch
22            0.038               .9652                       48
20            .039-.045         .991-1.143               42
18            .046-.052        1.17-1.32                  36
16            .053-.058        1.34-1.47                  30
14            .059-.065        1.49-1.65                  25
13            .066-.074        1.68-1.88                  23
12            .075-.084        1.9-2.13                    21
11             .085-.095        2.16-2.41                 19

(these numbers are on a range because handmade beads are NOT UNIFORM like the modern ones)

Many sellers offer what they call "antique" seed beads, but they are factory produced and are sized three sizes larger than the beads I am offering, which are the authentic handmade ones that are no longer produced.  I occasionally offer a bead as "Vintage", that may or may not be handmade, if I am unsure of the age span of the bead.
