Learning to fly is a great experience and Piper
Aircraft Co. has build many small planes such as the PA-22 Tri-Pacer and the J3
Cub to be used to train pilots. Many of these old airplanes are still flying
today. We hope you'll
enjoy.
1st Film: "Wings for
Beginners". This is a story around
1957 of learning to fly in a PA-22 Tri-Pacer. From the beginning to soloing to
getting a Private Pilots License. Filmed in Martha's Vineyard area of all
places. Color. Runtime 28:13 Min's
2nd Film; "Wings for
Industry". This film is explains
how a small plane such as a PA-22 Tri-Pacer could economically be used to
deliver industrial parts across the mid-west. In this film, "Campbell
Heating Co" (of all names) fly's to business and farms to deliver parts
quickly. Today, we use Fed Ex, but fun to see this plane fly around our
country. Runtime 26:20 Min's.
3rd Film; "A Man, A Plane, and a Dream". Piper Aircraft Co. produced this film about a historical trip around the world in a PA-31 twin Navajo. The famous pilot Elgin Long, flew his Piper Navajo N9097Y "Crossroads", in which he flew around the world vertically over the North and South Poles. The flight took place between 11-5-71 and 12-3-71 and covered 38,896 miles. Amazing! Runtime 27:22 Min's

of film clips on civilian airplanes flying for fun and business. Such as
landing on a beach to have a picnic to flying J3 cubs to spray pesticides.
