Vintage Rare 1986 Westone Pantera Deluxe Electric Guitar MIJ, w/ Vintage Fender Stratocaster Hard Shell Case!

Vintage RARE 1986 Westone Pantera Deluxe Electric Guitar, made in Matsumoku Japan in 1986! This is offered with the Vintage USA Fender Stratocaster Case that came with it. This is a very cool and interesting MIJ Super Strat from the 80s and may be a proto-type model with the push button pickup selectors. It's looks like a Pantera Deluxe, Pro or similar, probably between the X300 and X350 models. This guitar features a solid alder body with a thick highly flamed maple top, figured curly maple neck with an ebony fretboard and small pearl dot inlays. It’s got a very cool amber flame finish that looks awesome with the beveled and rounded edges. Original Magnaflux III pickups in a H-S-S configuration, separate push button switching, Bandmaster Deluxe Tremolo with I think is the original tremolo arm. 22.5” scale length with 22 jumbo frets that are in great shape with very little wear, original graphite nut. There are some minor scratches and a ding on the upper horn, with a lot of buckle rash and wear on the back, as seen in the pics. The fine tuning screws are missing from the bridge and the lock mechanism at the nut is missing the locking cap. There is an old repaired crack by the tuning peg on the headstock and the tip of the headstock is broken off, plus holes from where the old tool holder was at some time. The electronics sound great and work correctly with tons of versatility from the separate switching buttons. These allow for all 5 typical stratocaster positions, plus the ability to use just the neck and the bride humbucker together or all three pickups at once. It has a great neck with an ebony fretboard that’s slick and fast, very fun to play. The neck is straight and the truss rod works fine. I’ve searched every catalogue I can find and still can’t identify this model definitively, please contact me if you have any additional info about this guitar. This is offered with a G&G type hard shell case that has been with tis guitar since the beginning, as far as I know. It’s a nice made in USA with Cheney latches, plush strat case, wood with tolex and leather ends. It’s got plenty of scuffs and tears in the tolex and shows it’s age. The upper strap peg pokes into compartment side.
