Pair Of Antique Tin Glazed Earthenware Side Plates c.1850

This attractive pair of plates are made from tin glazed earthenware with a striking blue majolica centre. The plates have cream glaze to the edging embossed with a decorative design. The centres are embossed with putti in a beautiful blue majolica glaze. To the rear of the plates are impressed pattern numbers, both identical showing these are a true pair.

Condition report:
In typical tin glaze fashion some of the glazing has chipped which is entirely characteristic for antique examples of this type of ware. There is a small chip to the rear edge of one of the plates. Please inspect the photographs closely to assess the condition and quality of these lovely decorative side plates.
