Vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin, which means very little is required because the body is so efficient at storing the vitamin. It comes in two forms called retinol and beta-carotene. Retinol is only found in animal sourced products such as cod liver oil, egg yolks and fish. Whereas Beta-carotene is the plant sourced form that can be converted to retinol once in the body. Beta-carotene rich foods include dark leafy green vegetables, peppers, broccoli and sweet potato. Vitamin A has been used as far back as Ancient Greece to treat ailments. Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal vision. It also contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes and the normal function of the immune system. 

Vitamin C is the second component, also referred to as ascorbic acid. Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin famed for its Scurvy preventing properties. Vitamin C is found in a wealth of natural food such as kale, mango, strawberries, raspberries, carrots and cabbage. Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system and contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin C also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Selenium is a trace mineral required in the body. It enters the food chain via soil as inorganic Selenites. It resides in the human body as the organic form, Selenomethionine. Selenium is required in doses between 50-200mcg. Selenium is found in foods such as mushrooms, garlic, brown rice, or in any plant grown, or animal grazed on Selenite rich soils. The mineral is essentially available in any plant grown on, or animal grazed on selenium-rich soil. Selenium contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and contributes to the normal function of the immune system.

Zinc is another trace element, found in almost all cells of the human body. Zinc is found in very few foods, such as red meat, wholegrains, seafood and eggs. Despite its typical use in the building industry, zinc is also well known for contributing to the maintenance of the immune system and contributing to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. 

We provide this tablet in an easy to swallow 9mm tablet for your ease of taking.

Please note- that this product contains Vitamin A. If you are pregnant or likely to become pregnant, please do not take this tablet, except on the advice of a doctor or antenatal clinic.

We recommend that both the 500 and 1,000 tablet options are more suitable for use by more than one person. This is to ensure that you are receiving full use of the product before its expiry date. For one person's use, we recommend the 120 or 240 tablet options.
