This is a frontispiece from one of Hokusai's novels, and depicts the warrior general Kan'u from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. He holds his emblematic halberd. As a frontispiece, this print uses limited color printing: blue, flesh pink, gray and black.
The lower right corner of this print has a loss and has been repaired with a different grade of paper. Please see photos for details, front & back views, and dimensions (last 2 images).
