Up for sale an EXCEPTIONALLY SCARCE - VERY NICE, LARGE, antique folded map, titled "MAP OF HARFORD COUNTY (MARYLAND) SHOWING THE TOPOGRAPHY AND ELECTION DISTRICTS" - Maryland Geological Survey, Edward Bennett Mathews, State Geologist.  In Co-Operation With U.S. Geological Survey - 1922.

The map is linen backed, which looks like it was done when it was made.

I do not believe that you can find a more detailed county map erected earlier.  Certainly there are none for sale!

It is a LARGE, very detailed map, measuring approximately 35 x 36 inches, when opened.  It is blank on the reverse side.

Maps this early and showing this much detail are a great piece of history!  The map has nice coloring to it.  

 

Map is generally in Very Good/Very Good- condition.  The closed/folded map is approximately 5 1/2 x 7 inches.

There is some light age related browning and toning, as well as a few other small stains to the map.  The edges of the linen are fraying.  Some writing on the map in red marker.  Other dings here and there.  

This over 90 year old map would be a great addition to any collection!   Would look great framed!
