It benefits from a decent good quality Roof rack. Light Guards.and Nudge bar. Most things work as they should such as power widows Sun roofs x 2, Heater, Radio CD and Tape. Body Work is clean and solid with the odd chip/scrape/ding etc .( Air con disconnected and active cornering.) chassis is solid never welded just surface rust good wire brush and paint would see it good for many more years to come.
All only consistent with age miles use ( Not New ) Has factory two bar and elec's ..Cloth trim ( new head lining ) 5 seater with rear storage boxes Etc..
So what we have is a standard 1999 Discovery Td5 manual with a few extras such as roof rack light guard.s nudge bar etc .
But the main thing is it can be easily transformed into this prototype Sleepover Camper in approximately 10 minutes by using this bespoke system that's simply sits flat I In the boot floor (see photos) it was brought to my attention by friend's that most micro camper conversions for the Discovery Td5 and the likes require that the rear seats have to be taken out to gain the space required to sleep ! And the micro units are semi permanent due to there size weight etc . So the benefits of this simple system is the vehicle stays as a usable daily driver without loosing rear seats or boot space (even with the bed left folded up in the vehicle). SETTING UP IS SIMPLE.
With the rear seats folded forwards the bed System unfolds and uses part of the folded rear seats and (supplied )support rods as support for the bed whilst the rear half is supported by a simple lock together system that still allows for storage underneath and still allows access to the factory side storage boxes. The side widows simply become blocked out with the use of light weight heat deflective panel's and a blackout curtains fits simply and easily via Velcro tabs around front Windows..all very easy and quick The Sponge mattress in the photos is just for show and were used as part of the build and are second hand But included should new owners want them? It also comes with a full set of all weather seat covers. Our plan was to add a fully closed in Awning (available on eBay new and 2nd hand ) to put on/over the rear body/door to use as cooking/dinning area during poor weather and as the photos show their is a drop down shelf on the rear door to sit portable has stove on . The new owner's can are their own touches etc...
I'v now started on converting a full size van hence it's here for sale at a reasonable price considering it's other use as a camper.
All in All Its a Ideal multi use vehicle for pulling Boat, Caravan, Horse Box, ! With the added benefit you can sleepover in it
Or just as a simple daily driver for work shopping or school runs...Summer of Winter
please note at the moment two recent issues have developed Central locking playing up and a common fault some dash lights have come on since having new brake pads
