Here is a unusual and beautiful Hampshire Pottery geometric band bi-color bowl. It has a soft matte purple glaze which thins over the decoration breaking to a celadon green which curdles on the body. A rarely seen shape with an exceptional glaze the quality of Rookwood. Made in Keene New Hampshire before 1923 this pottery was influenced by Boston's Grueby Pottery. Marked Hampshire Pottery with the in the mold mark, the M in a circle for Emoretta Robertson, and shape number 151/1. It measures 5 1/8 inches in diameter and 3 inches high. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs, just a couple minor clay pops and glaze inconsistencies. An excellent piece of New England Arts & Crafts art pottery.
