Here we have a brand new Alto Friction Plate. This part has been designed to replace the Velvet Drive Part Number 5C-A66A & 3000-166-001 for a fraction of the cost!

You must know the exact model of your Velvet Drive Transmission! These plates are for the 71C, 72C, 1017, 1018, 1004 and 1005 series! (First four digits of the part number) This will tell you the qty that you will need!

71C you need 4 Steel plates and 5 friction plates.

72C you need 6 Steel Plates and 7 friction plates.

If your Transmission model number starts with 1017, you need 4 Steel plates and 5 friction plates.

If your Transmission model number starts with 1018, you need 6 Steel Plates and 7 friction plates.

If your Transmission model number starts with 1004, you need 4 Steel plates and 5 friction plates.

If your Transmission model number starts with 1005, you need 6 Steel Plates and 7 friction plates.
