On this DVD are a collection
of films and newsreels on the Army and Marine heavy piston helicopters. This
DVD is mostly on the CH-37 Mojave that had 2 radial piston engines hung on
outside of the main fuselage. Because of this design, the H-37 interior was
free of mechanical obstacles inside and with a clamshell front door, it had
great loading and hauling capacity. It was a major breakthrough. When Turbo shafts engines replaced the old
heavy piston engines, the H-37 was replaced by the CH-53 Stallion and the CH-54
Skycrane. We hope you'll enjoy.
