Perhaps the most prolific region of Mexico for outstanding and highly regarded jewelry silversmiths is the TAXCO region with such renowned artisans as William Spratling, Margot de Taxco, Hector Aguilar and Antonio Pineda just to name a few. The necklace and bracelet set presented here comes from that region and is so marked "TAXCO".

Unfortunately a specific maker's mark is not present; and what a shame that such a fine example is not credited to its' maker. The fine quality and design style of the set could easily have been attributed to any one of the aforementioned and/or perhaps produced in one of their shops by an apprentice. Other than the "TAXCO" marking, the two(2) pieces are also marked "STERLING" and with the number "3" inside a bell shape(pix 2 & 5; mark much clearer when viewed magnified or with the naked eye).

This sterling silver set is accented with high quality 8mm bezel set amethyst cabochon gemstones totaling 32 in number, as there are a total of 32 panels that make up the panel link necklace and bracelet, each set with a single amethyst.

This is a great Taxco, Mexican and sterling silver collectors example.
